SEMRush – What’s Inside?

In my last post, i mentioned about the good stuff SEMRush has. For this post which i consider as a continuation from the last, i’d like to show you what’s inside SEMRush and how it can benefit its prospect users. I’ll use microsoft .com as an example.
When you go to semrush.com and load its page, the one thing that’s visible right away is its search box. Most of the Keyword Tools normally position their search box on the top part. And one thing I like SEMRush is, it gives you the information of what you are about to see. Hence you get to understand most of the things as you navigate your way from the time you do your search until you download the Keyword Reports made available for the users.
Let’s start now by entering the domain, Microsoft.com would be our example. You can see in the search field Microsoft.com. If not please put on your reading glassess…
Now let’s look at each Keyword Report loaded on our screen. The first report is for the Organic Keywords. What we expect to see from this report is the Rank of the domain, the estimated Google Traffic and Price. We will also see the total number of keywords and the related stats for each keyword. How can you use these keywords? Well, you can scatter the keywords in your web contents, place it as tags or you may also use it in your PPC campaign if you like.
The second report in Organic column is Competitor List. With this report, you can see that number of competitors sharing the same keywords with the domain being searched. Some stats are also available for this report. How will this report benefit you? The great thing about this report is it shows you who your competitors are and the general performance of their Organic Campaign. So, you only have to look at those competitors with higher stats and check which of their campaigns you want to replicate.
The other Report from the Organic section is the Common Keywords. You can view this report when you click on any of the competitors in the Common Keywords column. This is I think the best report of all as you can compare the stats of the domain your searched for and the stats of the other domains (Competitors) that SEMRush has found. You can do a side by side comparison of two competitor domains. Interesting isn’t it? This report is also made available by SEMRush in the PPC Keyword Reports.
The last report in our Organic column is the Organic to Adwords Competition report. What you will be able to extract from this report are the competitors that use Organic Keywords for their PPC Campaign. So not only the Adwords Keywords returned by SEMRush are the ones that can be used to start an Ad campaign with Google, Yahoo or Microsoft but also the Organic Keywords.
Going individually to the reports we have under PPC Keywords column, the first one we have is the report for Adwords Keywords. The keywords under this report can be used mainly to create a PPC Ad Campaign in Google, Yahoo or Microsoft. I’ll write another article how to do this one. It will also allow you to see the number of keywords SEMRush has picked up and some valuable stats for each keyword.
The second report in our PPC keyword column is the Competitors in Adwords report. In here you will see quickly the total number of competitors SEMRush has collected and some stats relating to the performance of each competitor. The Common Keywords Report can also be viewed here. Just click on any of the competitor in the Common Keywords column and you will be able to automatically compare the two competitor domains.
The last report in our PPC column is the Organic to Adwords Competition report. What you will be able to extract from this report are the competitors that use PPC Keywords for their Organic Ad Listings. So not only the Organic Keywords returned by SEMRush are the ones that can be used for Organic Listings but also the PPC keywords.
As you can see, there is lots of stuff SEMRush has to offer if we just talk about information. For the price of about a dollar a day, I think you are in the right track of getting the most out of what you’re paying for. I would personally recommend SEMRush for delivering a great and affordable product. Road test SEMRush now!
